MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION III

With its larger rear wing, front air dam with brake cooling ducts and rocker panel extensions, the Evolution III reflected the increasing speeds on tarmac stages and the necessity for improved downforce and cooling. From 1995 to 1996, Mitsubishi sold 7,000 units, making it the best-selling Evo at that date. A new turbocharger, reworked exhaust system and higher compression gave the Evo III a 10-hp increase, while torque remained unchanged. A higher final drive ratio, Momo steering wheel (GSR only) and reupholstered Recaro seats were other notable changes for the 3rd generation.
