The current 6th gen Mercedes-Benz SL is lighter, longer and wider than its predecessor and features an all-aluminum chassis. It was formally unveiled at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. The new SL comes equipped with a bevy of driving assistance systems, such as Active Body Control and an electromechanical Direct-Steer system. For enthusiasts, the SL65 AMG is the one to have, with a 6.0 liter biturbo V12 producing 621 hp and 728 lb-ft of torque. A V6 is available in the SL350, while a biturbo V8 comes standard in the SL500 and SL63 AMG.
