DODGE VIPER (PHASE II ZB - GEN IV)

Fourth generation Vipers had a relatively short production run from 2008-2010, but were powered by an 8.4 L version of the now-famous V10 engine; horsepower rose to 600 and torque was up to 560 lb-ft. A 6-speed Tremec TR6060 manual was the only transmission configuration offered. Other notable changes for the ZB-chassis Vipers included variable valve timing, dual electronic throttle bodies, VENOM engine management, triple 1st gear synchros, a GKN ViscoLok speed-sensing limited-slip rear differential and vastly improved suspension design. These updates allowed for a top speed of 202 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 sec; quarter mile times of 10.92 seconds were recorded.
