Sporting a sleek new shape, the 4th generation of the Corvette represented the first completely original design since 1968. Production ran from 1984-1996 and a 6-speed manual transmission was once again an option. The all-white 35th Anniversary version was released in 1988; the Grand Sport and Collector Edition were offered in 1996. The C4 era also saw the birth and death of the factory B2K twin-turbo model and its eventual replacement, the hot-rodded ZR-1.
