BMW M3 (E46)

For the millennium, BMW introduced an all-new M3 with a high-output S54 motor, producing 333 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque in U.S. models. At the time, this was the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever built by BMW. A standard 6-speed Getrag transmission was offered, along with a new SMG II drivelogic gearbox, available with paddle shifters. The E46, produced from 2001-2006, accelerated from 0-62 mph in 5.1 seconds and reached a top speed of 155 mph. No sedan was offered for the 3rd generation, just a coupe and convertible.
