BMW M3 (E30)

Based on the standard 3-series, the original E30 M3 was produced from 1985-1992 and featured a 192-hp 2.3 liter inline-4 engine with individual throttle bodies, dubbed the S14. Its huge, boxy fender flares, functional aerodynamics and superb handling all contributed to its success in motorsports, particularly Group A Touring Car racing, where it competed against the Mercedes-Benz 190E. The E30 model accelerated from 0-62 mph in 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of 146 mph.
