I really want to do a turbo setup on this car. It's my daily driver and I hate pulling up next to STIs or Camaros and wishing I was in my Mustang. I at least want it to run 12s within the next two years. I might road race this car once I make it faster just because it handles so well. Even before I upgraded the suspension the car would handle like nobody's business. Unfortunately, the market for these cars have just gone way downhill, so unless I can sell it for about $4,500 when the time comes, I'll just keep it and build it into a full drag car to hopefully break the focus record which is like an 8.92 or something.
Since I bought it, I removed the stickers he had on the car, and put Ford die-cuts where the Borla stickers were. I'm not big on stickers but I think it's tasteful. I've also tinted the windows, upgraded to SVT suspension, lowered the car on Ford Racing springs, upgraded the rims, wrapped them in road-racing tires, put in a killer Pioneer sound system, and upgraded a small portion of the interior.
I bought this car from the original owner with 104,000 miles on it. He was an older gentleman who really took care of the thing. He had ordered the car with the exact options that he wanted, being a crank sunroof (since the power ones tend to break), manual transmission, 4-wheel disk brakes, and the Midnight Blue color. He didn't do many modifications to the car except get stock-style alloy rims to replace his hubcaps and put a Borla cat-back exhaust system on it so he could hear the engine to shift. The Borla exhaust sounds pretty deep for coming from a four cylinder. It doesn't sound ricey, and I actually enjoy the sound. He also put a small American flag sticker on the passenger side rear window along with a small Borla sticker on either side.
