I originally had a 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS that I owned for almost a year. I bought it new then found out a couple months later that the ZL1 was green lit for production. Called the dealer to find out how I could get one. All the 2012s had been spoken for by March of 2011. I put my non refundable deposit down and had to wait. :). It was October of 2011 and had thought that maybe I'd get it by January. Nope. It took until October of 2012 to recieve it. There were only 2000 2012 ZLs produced. Only a small number of dealers got them and out of those they only got 1. So October 12th 2012 I took delivery of a 2013! It was well worth the wait. Good thing because my 2011 SS just sold and was taken away October 11th. I think it was devine intervention. I had no idea when the ZL would arrive until the day of. I remember when the dealer called and said, Hey your cars here! I was like, that's perfect timing, my other car just left last night! :)... Since I was about 6 years old I have wanted a Lamborghini Countach, because of Cannonball Run the movie of course. I had almost bought a 2002 Lotus Esprit Twin Turbo. After finding out it's maintenance schedule I passed, oh and the glass roof that can't be stored on the car. So this is really a childhood dream come true. I finally have my super car, and it has more horse power than that old Countach. Plus the amazing technology that goes with it, like the Magnetorheological suspension!
Comes pretty loaded from the factory. Magnetorheological suspension, 580hp/556Lbt, 14.4" rotors, 6 piston calipers in front 4 in the rear, 285 tires in front/305s in the back, 1.9lt super charger on the LSA engine, beefy tower strut brace and many beefy handling parts, No lift to shift dual clutch. launch control, 7 electronic suspension settings(Race mode!), stability control.
Suede interior, sunroof, interior color light kit, 6 speed manual(the REAL way to drive a sports car), 7" touch screen with Pandora/Stitcher and Ipod interface. G-force meter :).
