Day 1 of TX2K12 took place at the meticulously well-taken-care-of track, MSR Houston, located 35 miles south in Angleton, TX. TX2K was originally launched as a small, grassroots gathering targeting Toyota Supra enthusiasts. Over the past dozen years, TX2K has evolved into an international event featuring GT-R's, Porsches, Vipers, Lamborghinis, Corvettes and other high-performance favorites. This year, TX2K12 included a driver's education and Time Attack event at MSR Houston, Dyno Day at Hennessey Performance engineering, as well as drag and roll racing at Lonestar Motorsports Park.
Day 2 of TX2K12 located at Lonestar Motorsports Park in Sealy, TX. It was also the setting for the remainder of the event. Day 2 comprised of a day-long dyno session followed by a judged show-n-shine car show.
Coming off a high-note from Day 2 Dyno day, we were amped to see what was in-store for days 3 & 4 at the Lonestar Motorsports Park drag strip. Arriving around 8 AM, we could tell many were still recouperating from last night's Frank-N-Stein meet & bikini contest. Nonetheless, the players showed-up to race and the tone was set early on.
Coverage for the fourth and final day of TX2K12, located at Lonestar Motorsports Park: The day's event was packed with an early morning test-n-tune session, two rounds of qualifying, and the eagerly anticipated elimination rounds.
