Memorial day weekend always brings that exciting feeling that the automotive season has truly kicked off. While we scoured the local area to find some cool shows to feature, we came across the Cruizin' to Calvary hot-road, customs and classic car show held yearly at the Rocky Mountain Calvary Church in Colorado Springs, CO.
Team Revvolution's event coverage from the Carlisle Performance and Style held in Carlisle, PA on May 12-13, 2012. And amazing event with an even more amazing turn-out.
Day 1 of TX2K12 took place at the meticulously well-taken-care-of track, MSR Houston, located 35 miles south in Angleton, TX. TX2K was originally launched as a small, grassroots gathering targeting Toyota Supra enthusiasts. Over the past dozen years, TX2K has evolved into an international event featuring GT-R's, Porsches, Vipers, Lamborghinis, Corvettes and other high-performance favorites. This year, TX2K12 included a driver's education and Time Attack event at MSR Houston, Dyno Day at Hennessey Performance engineering, as well as drag and roll racing at Lonestar Motorsports Park.
Coming off a high-note from Day 2 Dyno day, we were amped to see what was in-store for days 3 & 4 at the Lonestar Motorsports Park drag strip. Arriving around 8 AM, we could tell many were still recouperating from last night's Frank-N-Stein meet & bikini contest. Nonetheless, the players showed-up to race and the tone was set early on.
Coverage for the fourth and final day of TX2K12, located at Lonestar Motorsports Park: The day's event was packed with an early morning test-n-tune session, two rounds of qualifying, and the eagerly anticipated elimination rounds.
