It’s about that time again. With Shift-S3ctor’s Airstrip Attack 7 just around the corner, we’ve been getting antsy in anticipation for the oh-so-wonderful half-mile roll race and trap speed competition that crew #TeamRevv has grown so fond of over the years. The plethora of cars and people that come out to the middle of nowhere never disappoints, and we’re stoked to once again hightail it out to California to be part of AA7 on October 25 and 26, and to reunite with the Shift-S3ctor crew who helped us pull off the Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack in our own back yard here in Colorado. Check out of our coverage from the Shift-S3ctor Airstrip Attack 5.

We figured that not everyone knows what an Airstrip Attack is (shame on you) or really understands what they’re about. Enter the official AA5 video. Presented by Jeffrey J. Hart and That Racing Channel, this teaser and quick recap video embodies the true essence of an Airstrip Attack. The high horsepower, smoky burnouts, high profile builds, grudge matches and absurd trap speeds are all present.

Where Jeffrey’s video veers off the beaten path is with the unique aerial footage that gives a nice twist to show the overall scale of the event, along with his processing style that pays homage to film days with the cross processing look. It’s awesome seeing cars pull so much from a bird’s eye view and one can get a true sense of how fast these cars really are. On the flipside, watching your own car getting pulled on by eight car lengths can be a wakeup call. You mad, bro? The video also enlists the service of tons of GoPros allowing the viewer to see everything that’s going on during runs, including a dusty wipeout by a 1500-whp, twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo Supertrofeo (who ended up winning the AWD Unlimited). Overall, this video is a nice change of pace from the more static videos we’re all so used to seeing. Props to Jeffrey for making a killer video that really "gets” the Airstrip Attack.
