213 mph SP Engineering GT-R Flips at Shift-S3ctor

Video by SP Engineering. Write-up by Kenta Young.

After completing a 213 mph half-mile pass at Shift-Sector’s Airstrip Attack, the last thing you ever want to happen is something to go wrong with your car, sending you off the airstrip and causing the car to flip and roll a few times before finally coming to a complete stop. This is the first time we’ve seen this video, and even though we were there to watch it happen, the onboard camera looks absolutely brutal. As the dust starts to settle, you begin to realize the type of quality that goes into a build like this, and luckily, due to this high level of attention to safety, no serious injuries were incurred.

Heading back to the beginning of the video is where you get more of an idea of the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into Sean’s GT-R. Creating an R35 GT-R that is capable of 213 mph in 2640 feet is no small feat. Huge props to the guys over at SP Engineering for crafting a car that will not only rocket you to speeds over 200 mph, but will keep the driver safe in the event that anything were to go wrong. Sean walking away from a crash like this is a true testament to SP Engineering and their exceptional work. We are glad Sean decided to keep racing and come back even faster. He’s a proper enthusiast and living that #ModLife.
