Shift-S3ctor and Revvolution, in conjunction with the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, are proud to announce the first event of its kind, the Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack, at the Colorado Springs Airport June 27th and 28th, 2014 as part of Pikes Peak Speedweek.

Airstrip Attack is a half-mile side-by-side roll race event and trap speed competition featuring some of the fastest stock and modified street cars from across the country. Cars ranging anywhere from 400 to 2000 horsepower will be permitted to do either solo or drag-style racing down the runway at Colorado Springs Airport. The event is open to all drivers, makes, and models. Participants have the option to battle it out solo against the trap speed board attempting to click off their fastest half-mile trap speed run, or go against one another in a grudge-match style roll race (drivers can choose to race from a stop as well). The majority of both days are open runs; race whomever you wish, or race to best your own MPH.

If participants elect to do so, they can enter the Trophy Trap Speed Competition (Friday) as well as the Trophy Roll Race Competition (Saturday). The election must be done at the time of online registration. Friday, June 27th, will have open races all day with a standing half-mile trap speed competition at the end of the day. The fastest MPH in several respective classes will receive trophies, as well as an Ultimate Trap Speed Champion. The trophy classes are based on platform: AWD Unlimited, RWD Unlimited, FWD Unlimited, Naturally Aspirated, Sedan, and BMW/AMG. There are no horsepower limitations in these categories which means one thing: bring your A-game if you sign up for the trophy competition. Saturday, June 28th, will include open runs all day leading up to a bracketed roll racing shootout at the end of the day. Cars in the same respective classes will battle it out in a roll-on style half-mile race. The winners of each roll race class will then race each other to determine the Ultimate Racing Champion of the event.

The Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack is currently the only event in the country where participants have the opportunity to come together at a venue of this size and importance while competing for the title of the Mile High Victor. Thousands of automotive and speed enthusiasts are expected to be in attendance as dozens of the industry’s top manufacturers, personalities, as well as performance and lifestyle organizations, come out to participate, support and exhibit at the event.
