The final two days of TX2K13, affectionately known as “The Days of Drag,” were a perfect way to close out a nearly flawless event. In stark contrast to last year, no major equipment failures, accidents, or inclement weather caused any serious delays allowing the races to proceed without incident. But we don't want to imply that the event wasn't exhilarating – quite the contrary. If speeds in excess of 170MPH, the deafening crack of two-step and rev limiters and the smell of race gas all elevate your blood pressure to an unprecedented level, then the TX2K Days of Drag are definitely for you.

What do you call it when some of the most powerful street cars assemble to compete for ultimate bragging rights? TX2K13. Day two, dyno day, provides this exact opportunity to any enthusiast willing to strap down his vehicle to a massive torque wrench and push it to its mechanical limits. With vehicles rolling into Houston from all corners of the U.S., you can definitely expect a show.

TX2K started as a Toyota Supra Nationals event 13 years ago, and now it’s become a world-class event, garnering international attention with its all-inclusive approach that focuses on all facets of automotive performance; agility; power; and speed. By dedicating the first day to the track, the second to dyno pulls, and the third and fourth to the dragstrip, TX2K built a reputation as one of the year’s must-attend events for participants and spectators alike.

Day 2 of TX2K12 located at Lonestar Motorsports Park in Sealy, TX. It was also the setting for the remainder of the event. Day 2 comprised of a day-long dyno session followed by a judged show-n-shine car show.
