As the end of the motorsport season draws near, we had the opportunity this past weekend to head out to the famous Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas, for an event known as Import Face-off. With more than 40 national stops in the series, it’s becoming known as an automotive lifestyle staple. Import Face-off has established itself as the benchmark of import drag racing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and it certainly lived up to the hype.

AMS Performance has taken the Alpha Omega GT-R to the max; it’s the first to hit 9s, 8s, and now 7s in the quarter-mile. Hitting the milestones was no easy task with the GT-R’s complex drivetrain. Global Time Attack (GTA) teamed up with Shift-S3ctor to deliver the next two rounds of the Pro Am time attack event series at the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway during the forecasted blistering-hot weekend of June 7th. Located in the California desert east of Coachella, the track presents several logistical obstacles in addition to its challenging 2.68 mile, elevation-changing, 17 turn course.
When Team Revvolution caught wind of Los Angeles’ heavily promoted AutoCon event, we knew we couldn’t pass it up. AutoCon, short for Automotive Connection, held its first show of their nationwide tour June 1 on the grounds of Santa Anita Park, the renowned track for horse racing in Arcadia, California. Situated in front of the San Gabriel Mountains, the track is known for its art deco architecture and beauty, while the peaks offer an impressive backdrop. Not even a blistering hot, humid day could prevent thousands of spectators from attending.
