This past weekend, the fourth annual Heuberger Subaru Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack will once again go down in history as the largest event of it’s kind in the world! More than 7,000 adrenaline-seeking spectators, competitors, sponsors and media flocked to the Colorado Springs Airport as new world records were set, engines were blown and egos were destroyed!
Last year, the “Heart of Oregon Wine Country,” McMinnville, Oregon was host to the very first Oregon Airstrip Attack. The event was a hit, and couldn’t have gone better. The bar was set. The quality of cars left us speechless and we’ve been biting at the bit to see what this year had to offer. Everyone was looking forward to it being bigger and better than the last.
BIGGER, STRONGER, LOUDER, FASTER. 6,500 feet above sea level, two days, two runways and speeds exceeding 225 mph. Records will be broken, engines will be blown, idols will be immortalized and international fame will be achieved. This is how thousands of spectators, hundreds of drivers and dozens of sponsors and media outlets will describe what takes place at the 2016 OB Prestige Auto Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack at the Colorado Springs Airport. Once again, this event will go down in history as the largest event of its kind in the world.
