Over Father’s Day weekend, the fifth annual Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack Presented by Drag965 kicked off and lived up to its hype as the largest event of its kind in the world. 7,000 spectators, 1.9 million live viewers, and 315 competitors, sponsors and media converged to the Colorado Springs Airport to witness history. As is the case with any Airstrip Attack, multiple engines were blown, egos tarnished, and records set.
This past weekend, the fourth annual Heuberger Subaru Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack will once again go down in history as the largest event of it’s kind in the world! More than 7,000 adrenaline-seeking spectators, competitors, sponsors and media flocked to the Colorado Springs Airport as new world records were set, engines were blown and egos were destroyed!
Last year, the “Heart of Oregon Wine Country,” McMinnville, Oregon was host to the very first Oregon Airstrip Attack. The event was a hit, and couldn’t have gone better. The bar was set. The quality of cars left us speechless and we’ve been biting at the bit to see what this year had to offer. Everyone was looking forward to it being bigger and better than the last.
