Try wrapping your mind around a 6-rotor Wankel engine that makes 813 hp @ 9000 RPM to the wheels, on pump gas, with no forced induction. The guys at PPRE did just that when they created the world’s first 6-rotor engine, and boy is it a thing of art. But that leaves you wondering, what do you do with a masterpiece like this? Put it in a museum? Drop it into a drag prepped, but street legal Mazda RX-4? For most of us the choice is an obvious one: we’d pick the latter.

One sold-out event, one half mile, two days, and eighty degrees in the middle of the desert. Completely booked Best Western. Two hundred drivers. Twenty-two world-class sponsors. Seven hundred spectators. Fifty media personnel. An average of fourteen hundred horsepower. One hundred seventy mph average trap speeds, and one three-way twerk team. Records were broken, engines were blown, heads were lifted, and GTRs were flipped. This is the event known as Shift-S3ctor’s Airstrip Attack. This is an event you cannot miss.

The Global Time Attack ProAm series with Shift-S3ctor concluded Saturday (Oct. 19th, 2013) at Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, California. Suitably named “The Fastest Road in the West,” the Big Willow track consists of many long, fast, sweeping turns and a high-speed front straight, making it the perfect venue for the finale.
