Olympus Rally was held last weekend in Shelton, Washington. The event started with the announcement that Olympus Rally is officially a Rally America sanctioned event once more after a one-year break. Similar to the Oregon Trail Rally, the Olympus Rally offers extremely beautiful scenery, an assortment of obstacles, miles and miles of back roads and, most important, it has its NW Rally fans! It will be awesome to have Olympus on the national event roster next year giving the teams another event, and giving the sport yet another opportunity to expand and grow. Rally America seems to be doing all they can to help the sport evolve; they’re now nationally televised and in the process of adding other venues. We can’t wait to see what they produce next.
Global Time Attack (GTA) teamed up with Shift-S3ctor to deliver the next two rounds of the Pro Am time attack event series at the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway during the forecasted blistering-hot weekend of June 7th. Located in the California desert east of Coachella, the track presents several logistical obstacles in addition to its challenging 2.68 mile, elevation-changing, 17 turn course.
When Team Revvolution caught wind of Los Angeles’ heavily promoted AutoCon event, we knew we couldn’t pass it up. AutoCon, short for Automotive Connection, held its first show of their nationwide tour June 1 on the grounds of Santa Anita Park, the renowned track for horse racing in Arcadia, California. Situated in front of the San Gabriel Mountains, the track is known for its art deco architecture and beauty, while the peaks offer an impressive backdrop. Not even a blistering hot, humid day could prevent thousands of spectators from attending.
February 2nd, 2013 marked the reintroduction of Global Time Attack to the West Coast. Partnered with Shift-S3ctor, GTA held an all day affair at the Buttonwillow Raceway to kick-off the season right.
