The legend of AMS Performance's wicked Alpha Omega GT-R keeps growing. Fresh off of its 190-mph track day, Alpha Omega mixed it up in the automotive bloodsport that is the Texas Invitational—and emerged as King of the Streets!
The Z06 and GT-R couldn’t be more wildly different. However, both offer similar performance for a similar price. Which would you choose?
This video and a blog from September 18 is AMS's first Alpha Omega update in awhile. Apparently, a 2,000-plus horsepower, street-driven GT-R likes to chew up hard parts and spit them back out (who knew?), so AMS has been working hard to find the drivetrain's weak points and fix them. With the Texas Speed Syndicate Texas Invitational just around the corner, and a new Alpha 20 turbo system and suspension installed, AMS set Alpha Omega loose on Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
We’ve been following T1 Race Development’s 2000-horsepower R35 GT-R for some time now. Purpose built to Godzilla-smash quarter- and half-mile ETs and mile-per-hour records, T1’s GT-R just laid down some massive dyno numbers, which are beautifully highlighted in a new video produced and edited by our own Stuart Leiby of T1.
This 2000-horsepower GT-R is being built for one purpose: speed. Our contact over with T1 has passed on some details as the build comes closer to completion.
