This beautiful madness started when Olivier Benloulou was introduced to Haig Kanadjian, co-owner of Elite Garage Operations of Montreal, which is known for high-end, custom modifications and race operations. OB was looking for a local tuner to manage their endeavors. Haig and his partner, Harry, have been servicing OB’s projects and operations ever since. Fast-forward and we arrive at these breathtaking Italian machines they currently unleash at multiple races around the country. That’s right, plural: a blue 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera and a red 2012 Super Trofeo Stradale.

OB Prestige Auto's 2,000+ horsepower Gallardo Superleggera just dominated Shift-S3ctor's Airstrip Attack 7 (be sure to check out our official coverage) by blasting a scorching 229.1 mph half-mile run (read: soon after this video was published, they set two consecutive passes, each besting this trap speed; more on that later).

Day two of TX2K14 returned to Texas World Speedway to crown the first champions of the TX2K Roll Race Nationals. Today, TWS lived up to its nickname, "The Worlds Fastest Speedway." A few decades ago, when the speedway was a bustling hub for sanctioned motorsport, it was dubbed the fastest speedway when Mario Andretti set a record speed of 214.158 mph, while qualifying for an Indy race. The top speed achieved today by contrast, was set by a road-fairing, fire spewing Bull, clocking in at an impressive 201 mph. Needless to say, it's fitting today's record was set by the eventual Unlimited Class winner.

When you think about Texas, what's the first thing that comes to mind? If it's high horsepower, you've come to the right place and we've done something right. It's only fitting that Texas throws an event of this caliber considering it also hosts two of the oldest and most well-known high-speed races, the Texas Mile and the Texas Invitational (TI). And, it’s home to what was once considered the fastest non-restrictor plate tracks on the NASCAR circuit with entry speeds in excess of 102 mph, and corner entry speeds over 200 mph. This makes it a perfect venue for TX2K. For the past 15 years, TX2K has kicked off the automotive season in March and has easily become one of Revvolution's favorite events of the year. Who needs a beach with a bunch of drunk college kids? It might just be us, but a mass gathering of some of the baddest cars in the nation sounds far more appealing.

With last week’s conclusion of Shift-S3ctor’s Airstrip Attack, one of our favorite events, we’ve seen (and continue to uncover) a ton of high-grade media come out of the woodwork. It’s refreshing to experience so many photographic styles surface from a single event. The social channels are flooded with everything from lifestyle shots to postproduction-intensive vehicle features to detail-oriented product lineups, and we cannot get enough of it. Kudos to all the photographers and videographers who were “working” to help cover the event in the light it deserves. In the spirit of mixing it up, this week’s Top 10 Automotive Media will focus solely on our favorite images from before, during, and after California’s only half-mile, high-speed, side-by-side rolling race.
