I am 100% with you guys. This is by far the stupidest trend in the automotive world. Think about it this way. When your hotwheels got a hellaflush bent wheel they usually didnt drive as well on the tracks. I am hella unflush myself. But with 4wd it comes with the territory.

Haha, that's true. Great way to put it.

Haha, idk if my Jetta qualifies for hella flush, but when I put the rims on, I needed adapters because the bolt pattern was different so I gained about 6" of track on the car and dropped it about 3" so the wheels fit in the fender better. No fender roll or anything was needed, but I do slow down a good bit for speed bumps. Even though it is my "pretty" car handling has vastly improved, far less body roll and consequently no more "tail wag" at highway speeds when I turn the wheel.

now, lowering it is a different story. I have no problem with a car being a couple inches lower. It looks better, and bumps the performance, center of gravity, ect. up. What i'm referring to is a car being lowered to the point where it's bumper is more or less on the ground, and any pothole would completely destroy the kit. That, and camber like crazy. I mean, when you have an inch of contact with the ground and tire, you're gonna have a bad time. it's just so... pointless.

Haha you no like accelerated tire wear??

I think it's time I chime in here (:

I really don't think the whole "hellaflush" movement is going to be around for long... think it's more of a fad because people are pushing the envelope... comes with the territory.

I do however think there's a fine line between function and non-functional. I mean, my car is completely dumped as low as the axles will allow. With spacers, this flushes out my wheels perfectly, leaving about .5" of travel between my wheel & wheel well. With this setup, dampers set, strut bars, etc, this kills it, functionally speaking. No nobody would ever say that I'm hellaflush, but it's definitely not anywhere near stock. I'll never go back if I can ever help it!

Like I said, it's just those people that take it to that next level that aren't gaining too much respect from the functional crowd. But to each their own!

fair enough. I do think it will die off shortly here.

i don't even know how something like that could ever even start up, though. xD

Exactly my thoughts. I've thought about lowering my car to about an inch to half an inch wheel "gap"  but I'm going to mr snow plow and going to be getting a paintjob every other winter lol. When it snows it about a good foot of it.

Don't get me wrong. I love lowered cars.

perfect fitment

In my opinion. I wouldn't want to go lower this. Even low as this. I'm bet i'm going to bottoming out on a lot of streets here sad

Dude car looks sick. I def don't want to go any lower... Front diff sits about four inches off the ground just asking for trouble

We saw a guy at the Formula D show in his 350z literally dragging a rumble strip across the parking lot LOL. Not sure how functional that is!
