Came across this little bit from Edmunds Insideline.... There's PLENTY to be argued here. Remember, its the greatest V - waitforit - 6. Not I6's or Boxers, etc... But still I can barely believe what I'm reading one some of these! 25. 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 24. 2005 Alfa Romeo Brera 23. 1977 Renault Alpine A310 22. 2010 Chevy Camaro 21. 2010 Lotus Evora 20. 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 19. 1998 Audi S4 18. 2009 Nissan 370Z 17. 2011 Audi R18 TDI 16. 2003 Infiniti G35 15. 2002 Mercedes-Benze C32 AMG 14. 2011 Ford Mustag 13. 1992 VW Corrado VR6 12. 1989 Ford TAurus SHO 11. 2001 Renault Clio V6 Renault Sport 10. 1988 McLaren MP4/4 9. 1992 Jaguar XJ220 8. 1971 Citroen SM 7. 1991 GMC Syclone and Typhoon 6. 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo 5. 1969 Ferrari Dino 246 GT and GTS 4. 2009 Nissan GTR 3. 1972 Lancia Stratos 2. 1987 Buick Grand National and GNX 1. 1991 Acura NSX The full article in all its glory can be found here: http://www.insideline.com/features/the-25-greatest-v6-powered-cars-ever.html

Hmmm, It is interesting to see that the VQ35DE won out over the newer VQ35HR. I do see big things for the HR motor in the future, it has a stronger bottom end that the DE... meaning more horsepower capabilities! That is once more aftermarket parts are made for it!

The Delorean? Are you kidding me? haha wow....Some of these are pretty good like the Stratos and the GNX. I'm surprised the '11 Mustang is ranked higher than the '11 Camaro.

I'm very surprised at a few of them. Then I realized that it wasn't the "best" or "fastest" but supposed to be the most influential. Obviously a huge matter of opinion... but really, the Delorean? Pretty sure it had something like 130 hp, lol

most lost due to "luxury" inside the vehicles. :/

My friend got a speeding ticket in a VW Corrado VR6 going 125 mph. We were headed towards a hockey game an when we came out after the game a cop was waiting by his car. Apparently we had been caught by an airplane and it saw us park. I still think he should have fought it somehow, instead he just took a plea bargain. It was a fun little car.

90% chance he would've gotten off that because most courts don't allow pacing to determine vehicle speeds.

That is what I was thinking but I'm wasnt sure back then, this was 9 years ago, now adays I think he would have gone directly to jail.

My older brother has a vr6 Corrado currently. That car really is a blast to drive, and the exhaust tone of the vr6 is wonderful. He has a Techtonics catback system onit and it sounds just incredible. Its also considerably faster than my 944.

Well... an entire trilogy was based on the car, I think that is pretty influential! Plus, I think it is one of the few cars that the scrap value of all the stainless steel panels is worth more than the car as a whole! Although both of those things have nothing to do with the V6 under the hood!
