Modification can be a slippery slope as well as fun and rewarding. This is a great idea to have the end in mind if you want to try your hand at it. I love talking about it, and have experience in a bunch of different cars on track. If road racing is your thing, I'd be happy to help workout what fits the bill or not, whether you're building to a rule book or just pure pleasure. My own stock looking Z06 could use some touching up in its show cred, so I'm looking forward to what this community brings out in all of us.
And if one of the cars is an Alfa Romeo, that slippery slope can quickly become a sheer cliff.
I decided to keep that from happening by deciding to add 18 pounds of boost to the LS6 and leave the suspension and brakes alone. :) Some have seen this as maybe the wrong decision, but I'm happy with it....for now.
I wish I had taken video from all the dealer test drives I've been on in the last few months. 100mph is always the target at some point.
