California is the mecca of the drifting world in the United States, so it only makes sense that the final event of the Formula Drift Championship is being held at Irwindale Speedway. Often credited as the birthplace of American drifting, Irwindale is the home track for most of the drivers. For everyone involved, Round 7 of the series will be an intense, exciting competition to crown the new champion of FormulaD.

Qualifying

Each driver starts with 100 points and is given two, non-consecutive solo laps to impress the judges. Deductions are based on strict guidelines, including spins and major understeer; having two or more tires off the course at any time results in an automatic zero. Like the main competition, judges score the qualifying rounds on the same four criteria: speed, line, angle and style/impact. In the event of a draw, the driver with the slower first corner entry speed is eliminated. The top 32 drivers advance to the main event. The results of Round 7 are listed below.
