Hey everyone, I'm Travis. I'm a professional racer living in Westminster, CO. The race car is a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta GLI known affectionately as The Dirty 30. I'm competing in the Pirelli World Challenge, and it's going pretty well so far. I did 2 events this season at Mid-Ohio and Sonoma with my team at Emich Racing/3Zero3 Motorsports, and came back with a podium finish from each. I'm very excited about the off season to build support for the program as well as doing some private coaching. I offer affordable one on one training in any car for a full or half day. It's a great way of making huge progress in lap times, and the skills are transferable to any car. Plus it's just great fun being out on the track. If anyone is interested send me a message and I'll be happy to chat with you about it. Hope to see you out there! My road cars right now are the a Corvette and an Alfa. I have hopes the '02 Z06 will approach 1000hp to the tires with the help of a big Vortech V7 blower and some E85 for good measure. We'll find out later this week hopefully. My daily and winter car is a trusty 1984 Alfa Romeo GTV6 that might soon be getting a power bump in the form of a 3.0L swap from a 164S. I'm looking forward to getting to know everybody. I frequent many of the shows and track days around Colorado and spend a lot of time with the 3Zero3 crew. I have a huge passion for cars, car talk, drives, coaching, or just hanging out in a garage sharing stories. Cheers, Travis Wolcott #30 Volkswagen Jetta GLI Emich Racing/3Zero3 Motorsports Pirelli World Challenge

Welcome aboard, man! It'll be great to have a professional driver as a member to give us all some insight. I'm sure you can hit 1,000 whp in your Corvette. RMCR down in Colorado Springs hit 1,012 whp in a 2011 Camaro SS on pump gas and meth injection with a Vortech YS7 blower. Let us know how it goes...

Welcome to Revvolution buddy! Looking forward to some insight from a professional as well! I think you can hit the quad digit mark in the Z06. Also interested in hearing a bit about the VW.
If you talk the talk, you better crankwalk the walk.

Awesome. Welcome aboard man. Maybe you can start a thread on some generic starter driver tips.

Thanks for the welcome. I'd be happy to offer insight on the site, a thread seems like a great way to do that. Do you all have any recommendations or requests as to what you'd like to see in a thread like that?

I would love to see what you would do for an entry level competetor at an auto-x event or your first time to the track.
If you talk the talk, you better crankwalk the walk.

Hmm, I like to think of myself as a good driver, but maybe it would be helpful to start from scratch. Maybe some help on what line to use on corners for overtaking. It isn't quite as simple as outside-inside-outside when a car is in the way.

You mean motorsports don't act like Porsche track days where you can't pass (so I hear)? Man I gotta get down on that ! smiley I think this is a great idea, and we actually thought about this a while back. We should sit down and discuss this at length! We could make an awesome article series out of it

We should definitely sit down and have a chat very soon. I can make time most days.
