Has anyone had experience or even heard of Synapse Engineering Synchronic Wastegates? I am thinking of giving them a try, but they aren't cheap and I am not too sure that they will work 100% the way I am needing them to.

I have read about them and their BOV's. Supposedly they are one of the quickest reacting and most accurate. However I have not seen any street cars running them, so I have not had the chance to experience their performance.
If you talk the talk, you better crankwalk the walk.

Yeah I hear the BOVs are phenomenal. I want to know more about their wastegates. They seem to have amazing potential, but with the original castings being from China and not sealing properly and people just refusing to change up from the norm it seems that the general consensus is they arent any good. On top of that I have tried to email their tech support, and they are helpful to an extent, but it seems that they dont want to really put anything in writing other than what is on the main site... Maybe if I give them a call it will be different. Who knows? Its a shame because that dual port deal would have been awesome in my setup.

Hmmm.... Maybe the good ol TiAL wastegate will do? But if you know they are using a lousy cast and it just is falling apart by general consensus, may as well leave those ones alone.

Well the original casts like 3 years ago were bad, which gave them the initial bad rap. That problem has been sorted out now. Well I was gonna go with Tial but at $550 a pop for 50mm gates and me needing 7 of them I will be out a fully built bottom end in wastegates... Definitely don't want to spend $4,000 on wastegates!

How about the eBay brand ssautochrome? Anyone have any luck with them? I see horror stories and hearsay but weeding through the BS it seems that they are just as good as their expensive counterparts.

While I can't really chime in on the Synapse, I can certainly say that I've heard horrible things from ssautochrome - try an $8 exhaust manifold! Sure, I would love an $8 exhaust manifold! And damn... it just sounds like 7 wastegates is absolutely ridiculous. Perhaps it would be cheaper to design your own and have them fabricated?? Xcel machine shop in Baltimore is amazing but pricey. Hopefully not 4k pricey!

Haha they are cheap, and it does seem hit or miss with their products. Haha idk about designing my own! What I plan on doing with them it will be hard enough to get it to work using well known quality parts!

Check this thread out. Kind of is my thinking on SSAC: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/311504-ssautochromes-wastegates.html

Avoid SSAutochrome like the plague! Remember, you get what you pay for. I know for a fact their 4G63 manifolds are total crap. The welds WILL crack, it's just a matter of when. I feel like tubular manifolds in general are a bad idea for street cars. They are super expensive and lack the reliability of cast manifolds for marginally better performance.
