While on location at the Hennessey Performance Engineering facility in Sealy, TX, for the event known as TX2K, the weather simply wouldn’t cooperate, so we were forced to pack up and entertain ourselves elsewhere. With our britches drenched, the #TeamRevv gear stashed in the transport and our sights set on the streets of Houston, Revvolution president Ryan Randels decided we had nothing else to lose and struck up a quick conversation with TX2K organizer, Peter Blach. Within a few moments, Peter worked his power of persuasion and convinced John Hennessey, the owner of the American tuning powerhouse, to grant us a brief thirty minutes with his latest creation.

By now it seems everyone in the automotive racing world is familiar with the annual TX2K event in Houston, Texas, each March. What everyone may not be aware of is the invitation-only clash of the titans race that takes place just weeks after, and attracts the biggest names in the high-end performance street scene. The Texas Invitational, a legendary, side-by-side roll racing event, held at a private airfield about twenty minutes east of Dallas, is truly a gathering of the who's who in high-end car builds.

Day two of TX2K14 returned to Texas World Speedway to crown the first champions of the TX2K Roll Race Nationals. Today, TWS lived up to its nickname, "The Worlds Fastest Speedway." A few decades ago, when the speedway was a bustling hub for sanctioned motorsport, it was dubbed the fastest speedway when Mario Andretti set a record speed of 214.158 mph, while qualifying for an Indy race. The top speed achieved today by contrast, was set by a road-fairing, fire spewing Bull, clocking in at an impressive 201 mph. Needless to say, it's fitting today's record was set by the eventual Unlimited Class winner.
