I was doing some morning reading on tuners... look how, well... shitty the 1G MAF is just compared to a 2G....
If you talk the talk, you better crankwalk the walk.

You have a bigger version of the picture? It looks like it is only showing RPM and MAFraw

I dont have a bigger picture man. But I would actually wanna scope this myself... But even then, that is not so linear...

Not really at all. It looks like it could use MAFComp adjustment quite a bit. I am playing with mine now trying to get it all dialed in, but with an open BOV and an exhaust leak it isnt very consistent.

Yeah that wouldnt be to consistent... See i am not sure what set up this was taken off of but it was to kinda show how the 2G maf compares to a 1G. But even then I can see a 2g being more linear and responsive then a 1G. And if all goes to plan I will have an Evo 8 MAF in my Talon.

Lol, all that work ya might as well go with speed density.
  • 2/12/2012
Well if i was gonna use Link I would go speed density. But since I got a hold of an Evo VIII ECU im going to use the Evo MAF that came with it. Actually I have eveything I need to make the Evo ECU run except for a dead 1g 4G63 ECU, to make it plug and play.

You need a dead 1G ECU??

I do indeed. Its so me and my buddy can get the pins correct and make the Evo ECU plug right in to my harness without any odd splicing or what not. That is what he did to his Talon. Plus I wanna save my ECU because it was made right before the cut off for 1G EPROM ECU's...

Oh haha. I thought it was to give you an excuse to crawl under your dash and switch them out! Man that sounds like a good chunk of work compared to what I had to do.
